Timeline of an average campaign

Every fundraiser is different, but this is a pretty solid game plan.
1

Fill out a simple form to get started.

Start a fundraiser by providing basic information about your team and your goal.  This helps your campaign coach set you up for success. Your coach will be your guide and point of contact throughout the process.

We build your campaign page and  team member pages.

Using the information you provide, your campaign coach creates a customized campaign page featuring your team and fundraising goal.

As each team member logs in and adds a selfie, FanAngel generates a personal page with an individual goal and a unique URL.

Personal pages are the backbone of your campaign. They allow supporters to attribute donations directly to someone they know and make a meaningful impact on their individual goal.

3

Film a quick video for your page.

Nothing fancy. Just use your phone to capture an authentic glimpse of your team and why they need to raise money.

4

Your team loads their contacts.

Encourage everyone to participate. Since everything is online, they can invite friends and family from all over.

5

Launch your campaign! And let the automated outreach begin.

Over the course of your campaign—usually 3-4 weeks—FanAngel sends up to 4 personalized emails to each team member’s contacts. (Once someone contributes, they’ll get a thank you message, but no further reminders.)

We encourage leaders and team members to share on social media and via our quick text feature. Everything else is automated, so you can focus on your season, not your fundraiser.

6

Your fans donate on our safe and secure online platform.

FanAngel has been managing successful campaigns since 2018, using Stripe—the gold standard in credit card processing.

90% of donations go to your team. No hidden fees. No minimums.

FanAngel charges a flat 7% platform fee, regardless of how much you raise or how many people participate. Credit card fees are just under 3%. The rest is yours to keep.

And when your campaign ends, you get your money fast: instantly via direct deposit or about a week later via printable check. It’s up to you.

“As a father of student athletes, I know how important and challenging fundraising can be. We keep FanAngel’s fees low by providing 100% remote support and letting teams choose how to incentivize participation.”
